My 5* is for beverages although they do have food and little bites but we didn't try them due to dinner reservations. We stopped in for a happy hour drink and had a great time. Very creative and delicious specialty drinks, great atmosphere and friendly bartenders. If you're in Woodstock VT you should definitely stop in for a drink

Hidden gem with amazing cocktails! Au Comptoir is a fantastic cocktail lounge tucked just behind the main street shops in Woodstock. The bar service was top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The cocktails were creative, well-balanced, and absolutely delicious. The aesthetic of the space is stylish and cozy, making it a perfect spot to unwind. It feels like a hidden gem, and definitely worth seeking out if you’re in town!

Pretty cool selection of drinks and great vibes! We had some small bites too - hummus and tinned fish with chips.

This was one of the trendiest coolest drink/food spots we found on our tour through Vermont. The ambiance is so beautiful, love how they decorated everything and they had great music playing. Drinks were fantastic, went down a little too fast and the two gals working there were super friendly, even though we got there kind of late a little before they were closing. Would highly recommend.

Came in for a drink and snacks. Ordered the Mediterranean trio, which included chips, olives, and nuts. It was perfect for snacking. Ordered the lumberjack and the Emerald kiss. Both were tasty drinks. Our server was bomb, very friendly. The place is hip and a bit loud, but that is expected for a drink stop. Everything was great here. It is a tight sitting arrangement but doable. Must stop for drinks.

This was our second time visiting Au Comptoir, and once again, it did not disappoint. The only downside is that they only serve charcuterie boards, which was a bit disappointing at first—but I have to admit, they were freaking amazing. The space is tiny and intimate, with a relaxed yet special vibe, making it the perfect place to hang out for a couple of hours while enjoying expertly crafted drinks. The charcuterie boards pair well with the cocktails, making it a great spot for a light bite and a few drinks. A huge shoutout to Maddy, our server, who was the definition of excellent customer service—super attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable with great recommendations. If you’re in Woodstock and looking for a top-notch cocktail experience, Au Comptoir is a must-visit!

Our third or maybe fourth visit to this bar and it's still one of our favorite places to get amazing cocktails. Their small plates are great too, especially the meat and cheese. The atmosphere is great too and depending on the season it's a mix of tourists or locals like us, just know it can be quite busy around the holidays and you may have to wait a bit for an inside table, but for us on this most recent visit we only had to wait outside for 5 minutes or so. Fortunately they have fire pits (Solo stoves) and wool blankets to keep people warm.

Loved our cocktails at Au Comptoir!! Beautiful setting in main bar area and lovely outdoor seating. We loved the Ginger Margaritas and Emerald Kiss;) Will definitely return when back in Woodstock. The Olives were so good!
